Bratislava - Day 1

Our first day in Bratislava was fairly quiet.  We said good-bye to daddy in the morning, as he had to go for a breakfast meeting and then to the office.  Nathanh and I went down for breakfast in the hotel.  It was a nice big buffet so there was lots to choose from for Nathanh.  After breakfast we needed to do some shopping for diapers, milk and basic Nathanh essentials!  So we went across the street to a large shopping centre.  After we made our purchases we explored a bit and found that there were three really good play areas for children.  I let Nathanh play at a little indoor playground for awhile before we headed back to the hotel for Nathanh's morning nap.  I wanted him to get onto his regular schedule as quickly as possible.

After Nathanh's nap we got a taxi and headed to the Old Town.  This is the main tourist area in Bratislava.  Our first order of business was finding somewhere to eat lunch.  We ended up eating bagels in the main square.  Just in time too, as it had started to rain.  Here are some photos of our sight seeing adventures!  Not my best pictures but I thought you'd be more interested in the ones with Nathanh in them!
This was where the cab driver dropped us, just near the entrance to the Old Town.  Nathanh loved the flowers!

This is in the main square.

After lunch, it started raining quite heavily so I decided that we would try out doing a tour.  This was our tour bus.  I wasn't sure how long Nathanh would sit for but at least it was dry!

One of the wet cobble streets.  If anyone knows the chant "a smooth road, a bumpy road, etc."  Nathanh is now quite the expert at understanding what bumpy roads and rough roads are!  I was very much longing for my sleek, three wheel, all- terrain stroller!

They look kind of similar, don't they?
