Wow, it really has been awhile since I posted anything. So let's see what is new? Just before spring break we got a group e-mail from our agency asking all of the Vietnam waiting families to re-sign a statement saying that we are aware of the risks of adopting from Vietnam. Risks meaning that anything could happen, it would be out of our agency's control...
Really this was not news to us. When one starts reading Vietnam adoption blogs it is VERY easy to find the statement "Vietnam is not for the faint of heart." So we signed again stating that we are aware that anything could happen and that there are no guarentees.
We have not moved forward at all on the local adoption. I am much more focussed on Vietnam, feeling that it is the right fit for us, whereas Erwin would be fine with the local adoption. So for the moment we are just pursuing Vietnam and Erwin gets to decide if and when we move forward on the local scene.
The last bit of news is the most exciting! More families from our agency arrived home with their babies this past Friday. So things are moving ahead - yeah! But it is still very slow going.
